Ahmanson Theatre Parking
If you are planning to drive to the Ahmanson Theatre, be sure to leave plenty of time to arrive to the venue as a high volume of traffic is expected. The recommended time is to arrive at least 30 minutes before event start time.
The golden rule when attending a show at the Ahmanson Theatre is to allow plenty of time. LA traffic can be notoriously tricky, with long sections of traffic adding delays to journeys at any time of the day.
Parking Options
Once you arrive at the Ahmanson Theatre, you’ll find several options for safe parking:
Official Parking
Official self-parking is available at The Music Center Garage. It currently costs $10 per vehicle, although rates may differ for matinee performances. You can find the entrance on North Grand Avenue.
Valet Parking
Valet parking can be purchased from $23 per vehicle, depending on the show’s time and date. The Music Center’s Hope Street entrance is where you’ll find this service.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking is available at either the Grand Ave or Hope Street entrances, costing $10 with valid documentation.
Street Parking
You may find street parking in the surrounding area. However, it is usually very busy, and you’ll need to take extra care to avoid restricted and towing zones.
The venue recommends you arrive at least half an hour before the show at a minimum. Otherwise, parking may be full, and you may not have time to enter before the show starts. All parking rates are set by the County of Los Angeles and can change without notice.
The Music Center Parking
Self-Parking is available in The Music Center Garage for $9 at the Grand Ave entrance. (Please note: for weekday matinees please arrive between noon and 2pm and you will be charged $9. Parking before noon is $20.) The garage sometimes fills up on dates when all three theatres at The Music Center are operating.
Valet parking is available for $23 at The Music Center’s Hope Street entrance.
Handicapped Parking is available for patrons displaying a handicapped placard at both the Music Center Garage and valet parking. The charge at both locations is $9.
